Serving the Castle Hill section of the Bronx for nearly fifty years,
Castle Hill Little League is committed to providing the youth of our
community the opportunity to learn and play baseball in a safe and
enjoyable environment while developing the qualities of
sportsmanship, respect, discipline and teamwork. Our baseball
program, which seeks to embrace this goal, will not only be rewarded
with dedicated athletes at the high school and collegiate levels,
but more importantly, will help develop community citizens later in
life. |

Castle Hill Little League offers supervised baseball programs for
the youth of our community for youngsters ages 3 through 15. As we
approach the 2007 little league baseball season, we are delighted
that our program has grown to over 500 baseball players. In addition
to our regular spring baseball season, Castle Hill Little League
provides opportunities for our players to participate in baseball
clinics and regional summer All-Star tournaments. Castle Hill Little
League's T-Ball, Minors, Major, Junior and Senior Division programs
play under the charter of Little League Baseball, Inc.
The Castle Hill Little League Board of Directors is committed to
provide a positive environment for all of our players regardless of
age or ability. We require our coaches and adult volunteers to act
as role models and teachers. While we strive to develop our players'
baseball skills and to produce competitive programs, these
objectives are secondary to good sportsmanship, integrity,
character, and enjoyment of the game. We measure our success in
terms of the number of players who return to our sports program each
and every year.
As we prepare for the upcoming 2007 little league baseball season,
we have continued our focus on the improvement of the overall safety
of all our children in the league. We have continued to address the
well being of all our players both from a physical and psychological
standpoint. From the physical standpoint, we are constantly
improving our fields, posting safety signs and purchasing new player
equipment to keep our players safe. From the psychological
standpoint, we have implemented in our Code of Conduct a strict
policy dealing with unruly and unsportsmanlike behavior.
Castle Hill Little League provides many opportunities to volunteer
services for the league. Some activities such as managing, coaching
or serving as a team parent are regular commitments, while other
activities such as concessions and field maintenance require
occasional service. A parent may specialize in a particular field or
skill which would benefit the league with respect to fundraising or
special projects. Nevertheless, we strongly urge all of our parents
to volunteer their time and services for the benefit of the children
in our league. |
